So glad that you took another swing at this build! takes guts when someone is very demanding of themselves as you are.

Cheers Ted ,

It wasn't so much the accuracy that I was concerned about, it was more about making sure that each thread ended up where it should so I didn't end up tying knots lol.

This is a pic of the rigging diagram ( from Bob's Buckles website ) there is a lot of it lol and some of those wires are doubled

Machine gun is done.

Base coat of Alclcad jet exhaust, a little bit of silver dry brushing and brown for the wooden grips

All of the little bits are painted and here's everything that needs to go together for final assembly

I've glued the tail to the frame to try and help keep everything aligned during rigging as its quite a delicate piece and I think,it will be very easy to bend it out of shape if the threads are too tight.

I'm going to let this sit overnight to cure as its only held on by 3 tiny attachment points and I don't want to have another breakage and subsequent meltdown lol.

Fingers crossed I can get this done and dusted by end of play tomorrow but I'm going softly softly catchy monkey so it may take a bit longer than I think

Cheers

Thanks mate !

The rigging is very tricky on this aircraft and I think that maybe the reason you don't see as many of these kits built as some of the other wingnut models.

The kit is quit fragile and that combined with the intricate rigging is what I'm finding so difficult, once you start getting a few of the threads glued in you run out of room pretty quickly lol and I kept catching threads I had previously glued in with the tweezers and detaching them.

It's definitley a "no coffee" steady hand excersise lol

I didn't manage to get it completely finished today but the finish is not far away

All of the rigging is complete and the bits and bobs are all glued on

I found the rigging of the box frame much easier than the wings

Looks like a spiders web lol

All that's left to do are the control cables and I'm hoping that this will be a relatively simple job and I have a few litlle touch ups to take care of along with a little bit of weathering on the tail. I will crack on with it in the morning and get it finished and post some pics up in the reveal section tomorrow afternoon with a bit of luck

Cheers
