One of your clues was of course the white gloves...I made a big reference about that in the review I did on the kit.

Now all I'm waiting for is the US mail....can't remember if I used Wells Fargo, or Pony Express.

The white gloves clue went completely over my head, it I do remember you saying they should be used when reading the instructions now you've mentioned it.

Very much looking forward to tackling this kit but it will be with a bit of trepidation as there will be many techniques that will need to be employed that are completely new to me (wood grain, rigging etc)
But I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited about it

Pete

Hehehe I can just imagine a wagon drawing up to Teds house now lol

Pete

Edit:

I have to say that you have the neatest handwriting I have ever seen. Lisa and I both thouhg the post it note had been printed as there is now sign of a pen starting or finishing on the note and it looks printed

I must admit I've been suprised at just how helpful the parteners have been throughout this.

Handwriting. .. I used to be an Architect, so I still have that skill within me.

My only worry is what Ted is going to do...GF and all those models..... [wink]

Hehe I will do

And how did you find out my middle name, do I still show up as a director somewhere ?

Sold that compamy for millions years ago lol

Pete

Edit :

I'm pretty sure that the only time I have ever used my full name was when i registered at Companies House. I never use my full name for anything lol and I think that even on the electoral role I'm down as Peter S Hutchings

I just pray that none of my accounts are on there because although I may have a bit of talent for this and that, being a business man was not one of them

Pete
Currently thinking about all of the millions I never made lol

To be honest Pete..I don't know. It's amazing what you can find...I was only looking for your phone number to give a suprise call, and I now know the previous owners of your house were the Owens.
That Company........nappies ! Are you serious ? I suppose they are right when they say where there's muck there's money.

Perfect!!! Just the other day I reviewed your inbox of this kit Nigel and Pete came in my mind... but though "he wouldn't..." Wel, you did Nigel :-) Great choice of challenge!!!
And Pete, the pressure is on, OMG! I'm certain that you're more than capable of transforming this kit into some great artwork mate! And the rigging... wel... good luck with that, lol
Perfect kit btw to show on the "other" forum ;-)

It is amazing what you can find mate, and I want it known that I only did those films to help pay for my education lol !

Yes the Owens were a brother and sister who lived here before us and they lived here for many years, the brother was Michael Owen although I imagine living in this neck of the woods he would more likely been a rugby player than a footballer lol.

Nappies ? Not sure about that, my company used to recycle the holes from polo mints and sell them to the people who made hula hoop crisps

Pete

PM sent regarding telephone number

Now I know what the kit is everything has become clear lol and the clues make sense.

I've had a look at the kit and while it does look like there aren't hundreds and hundreds of parts, I think that getting the wings and struts in line will be crucial to the look of the build although from what I've seen of these wingnut kits fit issues are zero.

Yes mate the rigging does look daunting lol, but I'm certain that with the right products, patience and a steady hand will see me through

I'm going to keep this build exclusive to Genessis as it only seems right to do this after Nigel has gone to all of this trouble.

I would like to share my B-25 build on here too but I'm not sure if that would be breaking any rules of that competition. And although I only have a small chance of winning anything I don't want to jepordise that after the hard work that will end up going into it.

Hopefully Ted will pop up with some news about his kit and we can all get stuck in to our builds

You have to keep that build where it is Pete. Maybe afterwards just show some Final Pics when the comp is over.

I've done that a few times on other sites with some of my figures.
Understand you can do this one at your own pace. Don't get under too much pressure.
These kits are going to be taking you into areas of modelling that you're not familiar with, but I know you are all capable of achieving great results.

Ted is going to get one big shock when he opens his package...but he will understand the joke. [wink]

What happens in genessis stays in... ;-)
About building at own pace, what timing do you have in mind Nigel? Of course we wait patiently on the US pony express first, but I guess it's good to have a timeframe?

And i forgot, great pictures Pete :-)

I just checked and I made it from now until end of May, or when you have all finished...whichever comes first.

Can't take all the credit, it really has to include Fabian, Pete & Ted for being great contestants. ..and, of course, the audience, like yourself, to encourage them during their builds.
