Cheers Thomas,

Long way to go but I'm really excited to get it started. The beauty of buildin each scene on a metre square base is I can build and finish it in stages, I've got some really cool ideas for some of the scenes too.

Abraham and "The Bitch" look great together.

She will look great in the scene I have got planned for her mate.

Yes it's going to be a huge diorama when it's all assembled

There are some nice resin ones made by MAIM in 1/35, they do survivors and zombies but they are around a tenner each so it's too expensive to make a horde.

I got the McFarlane figures for £3.50 each so I think that's the way I'll go. And I'll sculpt some zombie heads and convert some cheap 1/35 figures and cast them to make a horde

This is the little stash of kits that I have collected for this project up to now. I still need a load more vehicles but it's difficult to find suitable ones in this scale

I've got plans for this jetranger and will build it after the Abrams is finished

Maybe paint it to look like the one used in "the original dawn of the dead"

Hehe, the collection for this project is getting bigger and bigger mate. I think I really need to get some of them built this year or it will never get finished lol.

I always keep plenty of Mr cement s in stock but I'm pretty sure that this lot will see that I will need more

Had a couple more blind bags arrive

Bags are Marked with "H" for a human character or "W" for a walker other than that it's a lucky dip as to what you end up with

These are the possible figures that you could get in this series

Out of those there were two I wasn't keen on, The Governor and Michonnes pet.

I didn't like the pose of the Governer and Michinnes pet looked to be a bit larger and out of scale to the others

Anyway, I opened them up and this is what I got

It's Daryl Dixon ( cool ! )

And a Sophia walker ( poor Carol )

Let's have a closer look at them shall we ?

Sophie attaches to this bit, it's half a walker (nice) but what is cool is that it's detailed on the underside

I'm really impressed with Daryl, the likeness is pretty good considering the size of the thing

It's definitley Daryl

So all in all pretty god to be honest.

But there are a couple of issues.

Firstly there're are a few visible joins, although I'm pretty sure this is down to paint build up on the attachment parts as they are really hard to put together.

The next thing is that the paint jobs aren't great and the paints really thick which is hiding the detail a bit , but I'm going to be repainting them anyway so I'm not too bothered. And because of this I'll be stripping them and removing any seams and I'm hoping that the limbs will go together a lot better and just a little bit of filler will sort out any gaps.

I've still got some more bits for this project coming to me next week so I'll update once they arrive

Cheers

cool project indeed [smile]
your main man looks like Sean Bean !
just saying .....

My favorite moment in the "Walking Dawn of the Rise of the Dead etc." was the bit where a zombie stands up on to a crate and gets the top half of it's head sliced off, that bit made me laugh [biggrin]
