Well done Ted, you've found your way over the finish line.

This is a great build and a great concept. No manual, no OOTB...just out of your head scratch building.
A lovely diorama with plenty of action...a Star Wars scrapheap challange !

My the force be with you in the Final.

Love it.... [thumb]

thank you. I had other ideas which would have given it more life, but did not incorporate. Exhaust from the engines, a "cape or scarf" from the pilot flowing over the back of the cockpit, "dust" flying up from the planet surface under the car body and behind. Maybe I could do these things later?

The build and base together is 26" long, 8" wide and 10" high at the POD end. Made of a 1/25 49' car, a 1/48 Mig, parts from a 1/48 Phantom F-4, a broken cake decorating set, rollers from doggie poop bags, and all kinds of parts from my spares, metal, and styrene reserves. The base is the front wooden panel off of a demolished vanity topped with a piece of styrofoam. The foam was covered with paper towels, Hodge Podge medium, small stones, some hot glue and a handful of paints. The pilot is a 1/25 "midget racer" figure ordered online. Mostly Tamiya and Vallego paints. The idea was adapted from Star Wars Pod Racing with a mix of Road Warrior and Steampunk thrown in for flavor.

I found a pic of this build on the net by accident and did not find the rest. Now that I have I am glad. I added the one I found of just the car section to my facebook page called hover/pods/probes etc. I would love to add the rest to the site for others to see. You have done a darn fine job. I love it.

I have done couple different pod racers myself and about to do third version. Cobgrats on a super build.
Btw, Do you have a full name so I can credit you? Or is Ted enough?

It was a great WIP full of ideas to plunder and a fantastic finish.

I always have a great admiration for people who can scratch build stuff to such high level.
