I have a few questions about the paint Bobby uses. It seems you mostly use acrylic paints. Here in Japan I have Mr. Hobby and Mr. Color available. I really liked your idea of using Klear for a gloss coat to protect the paint you put down but will using lacquer based paint like the Mr. Color line effect it? Second I really like the paint pallet Bobby uses in his video's does anyone know where I could get one? I can't seem to find one!

I think the Klear is fine for the Mr Hobby but the Mr Color would be too "hot" Which pallet do you mean?

The one I am talking about is the one that Bobby usses in most of his step by step videos on here. Rectangular in shape and has ridges and valleys for mixing colors.

I think the "pallet" your referring to is actually a lid from a "cotton bud"/q-tip container. I think he's mentioned it in one of the tutorial video's, sorry I don't remember which one thou......  Good Luck, Dave

Hi there

no...is not the lid from cotton bud, he is referring to a white pallet that Bobby uses when he wants to mix paints using brushes - Actually I wanted to buy one as well, this particular palette has very smooth curvatures  and it also looks quite smooth .
thanks

I think the rectangular palette Bobby uses is possibly a Games workshop one they did a few years ago

If it is you can get very similar types from ebay and like (for considerably less than GW charge)
