Wow that's a huge Mustang Ken !

And £27 is a bargain for a kit that's size I reckon. Does it have a full engine too ?

Well I know I shouldn't since we are off on hols in a couple of days but here is a start.
I've cut one of the doors out, just the boot, the other door and the inners to go.

Nice job on cutting those doors out Ken, that's something I have not yet had the courage to try lol. But you have done it like a pro !

I take it that this is not an option in the kit, if it's not will you be making hinge or just displaying it with a door open ?

Going to have it hinged so it will open and close. It is apparently dead easy, we will wait and see. I figure if I ruin it, it won't matter too much as I will then just do it a a battered robbers escape car.

Hi all a small update on this

I used copper wire for this which I think is a bit too soft the door sags when opened so i think I will have to change it for some other sort of wire, I also think I need to move the hinge further back on the door so it clears the body better, but quite pleased for a first attempt at opening a closed door.

Oh! Try using a paper clip! They take a lot of force to bend them into shape, they'd be tough enough to work on those doors. I use them all of the time.  [biggrin]

Hi all last update for a week as on hols in the morning

Uprated the door hinges, no sag now
thought I better check clearances with the internals, as you can see only about 1/2 a mill clearance, that's a lucky one.

given her a coat of primer so she will have a week for that to fully cure

You'll have to dry fit the dashboard to make sure it won't need any modifications as well. Looks like you've got the hard part of alignment taken care of quite well. [smile]
