I managed to get a little more done
The decals are on the instrument panel

And the cockpit sidewalls are done, but you really won't see much of it with the pilot in the way

I turned these up in my box of bits, Result I thought ! But it's 1/24, If it doesn't look too out of scale I will see if I can cobble something together

And Dai the post turned up with this today, I don't know when I will get round to starting it so it will live in the stash for now

There are still a few bits and bobs to go in the cockpit, compass, gunsight etc but that will have to wait until I can get back to the bench again

Cheers for watching

Looking great Pete! Those faces look blended a lot better. Eyes are tricky, but there are some tricks for that.

I'm loving that office so far. ...and the hat.

Cheers Mike, I wasn't sure if I should have added the eyes, but the figure looked asleep lol ! I used a toothpick to dot them in not ideal lol, but I didn't know any other way to do them so any tips in that department will be very gratefully recieved

The hat is a life saver, you have to get one Mike, keep the ETs out of the melon lol !

On that scale you could have used the needle trick (like with making rivets) to make pupils. Than a simple pin wash would make the eyes for you. [wink]

Or a very tiny drill for the resin guys.

I have many hays Pete lol. May as well add a tinfoil one to the collection. Lol

I never thought of a pin ! It's so obvious now that you have mentioned it lol

Drilling a hole and adding a wash is an absolute stroke of genius too ! I will definitely be trying this technique

Thanks for the pointers mate

We should have a tinfoil hat selfie thread lol

ah man. and I was going to go to the grocery store to pick up some aluminum foil since I had run out. Those hats only last so long before they lose their effectiveness.

Don't tell me that ! How long should I keep using it before I change it ?

Make sure you scan it for implants when you get it back Neil, you can't tell who's a reptile and who's not !
But I am working on a device that will show them in their tru form ( I'm building it in my garage out of old clock parts and Legos )

They get you when you sleep so I'm staying awake (6 days straight so far) 25 cups of coffee and 16 cans of red bull a day seem to keep me ticking over nicely, although the sound of my teeth grinding is keeping the neighbours awake.

It's hard to keep the mind occupied in the wee hours, so Im Digging an underground bunker in the garden, I wasn't sure where to put all the dirt I removed, so I dug another hole and put it in that !

I found a little time to do some work on the spitfire, so I had a bash at the belts, I figured that with a bit of cutting I could make them work even though they are a larger scale

Painted etch belts look nice, but are a pain to work with as they are so springy, it's hard to get them to stay put while the cyano dries

So I took my time and glued them a little bit at a time, the straps that go over the pilots shoulders are a little bit too long but they don't look too bad

I only added a lap belt on this side as his arm is in the way on the other side
