It's looking fantastic. The decals, and the weathering you have so far is really bringing it to life.

For the next group build the suggestion section will be opened up around the end of this group build, and we can make suggestions and vote on them then. I've got an block 50 f-16 sitting in my stash so I wouldn't mind that. I did notice this time people were more interested in broader subjects than just a single aircraft (hence the ww2 bombers gb). So it might have more popularity if it was current usaf aircraft, or something broad like that that includes the f-16 as well as a variety of other aircraft.

Just my 2 cents on that idea, and again your ventura is looking great.

So would the F-16 be in  a group like- "US strike aircraft"?

I have a Pro-Modeler SB2C-4 Helldiver I would love to work on but I really Don't think I can get that done buy the end of this GB...

I must say I am really enjoying the idea of these group builds. I haven't worked on a model in like a year or more, and now that I am working on this one I just keep trying to think of what I want to do next. I really think it is helpful to look at everyone's work and be able to ask questions. This is a great way to build this hobby up.

Very nice looking plane, and the weathering of the wings looks great. Is it done with a overall wash or pinpoint and what products do you use?
Yeah, the GB's are great fun and very motivating to push your own borders - much nicer than doing everything alone :-)

that plane has a lot of character in the shape/configuration. your build/finish is bringing it to life in a great way--very nice work all round!

I guess you could say it was a pin wash but I made the oil based wash to thick. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you

The next parts I had to get finished were the wings. I wanted the weathering to look like it had been used and was stationed in the Pacific.

The fuselage was hard to clean up my attempt at pin washing and as a result I scratched the hell out of the clear coat.

[20150310_203803_zps5ob088ug]
Thank god that all it took was another clear coat to freshen it up.

[20150312_005309_zpsn7bnw9xw]
This is what it looked like when I place the wings on.

[20150310_202048_zpsbwtqxyd3]
After a little paint chipping and some other little details it was time for my flat clear coat.

[20150317_231732_zpsjzrkn5fx]
So before putting the wings on I thought I would tackle the bomb bay doors because they seamed overly complicated.

I really did like the way the wash and the other weathering turned out though. Even if I didn't do it quit right.

I don't think that I am going to rank really high in this group build (some of the work you guys are doing it just mind blowing) But I am very proud of this model and I think that I am going to work on another bomber for this group build.

I really do enjoy checking out everyone's work. I have to say some of the work that is being done in this group build is just unbelievable, you are all very talented and should be incredibly proud of your work.
