Its done, and again must say that this cheapo  Revell kit was really enjoyable, questioned whether it was worth adding all the Airdoc stencils, but it was practice for the Da Nang kit, and enjoyed adding some scratch built details to the cockpit, its hard to believe that this kit retails in the UK for around £10 /$13 and is the re-boxed Hasegawa kit which is around £30/$45, and it gets weapons in the box that the Hasegawa version lacks. Just need to crack on with the Eduard kit now, 2 months soon disappears.
Thanks for the comments and encouragement during the build and good luck to all the GB builders.
Here are the final photos with the figures added they are a mix of Italeri and Revell.

Well done on another great build Gary
The Phantom came out really well and it was definitely worth the extra effort for the decals, All those stencils add another layer of detail to the finish
The base as always looks totally authentic and as everyone else has said, the interaction between the figures is just perfect and really sets the scene.

2 down 1 to go mate !
I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished Da nang

Really nice Phantom. I specially like the detailed painting, it works really well. Hard to believe it's 1:72! I followed your WIP wit great interest and learned a lot, thanks for that. Even I know now that I payed to much for my Hasegawa kit lol. Great work!

Very nice job here too! Going to be tough judging this one already. Good luck, I'll be a very interested observer (this time).

Simon.

That turned out very good! I was thinking 1/48 until I saw the title again...incredible work on those tiny figures!
