Thought I would do another entry to the group build.
The idea is to have the Lancaster on a water based diorama having just dropped the bouncing bomb.
This is what I have to work with, so far.

Nice one.  Would like to see someone one build the Airfix one for a bit of a back to back comparison.

Looks like you have all the goodies! I watched a long video years ago about the mission to drop that bomb. All the trials and planning--fascinating.

Operation "Chastise" is probably one of the most celebrated ops even though it was far from the most successful.

Looks like a very ambitious project you've set yourself, Steve, though I have no doubt you'll succeed with flying colours.  Are those some sort of p.e. 'props in motion' thingies I see?

Yes mate. Got them from Propblurs in USA.
They look great.
The service was brilliant from them too.

This is gonna be a very interesting build to follow. Can't wait to see the effect of those P.E. propellers. Didn't even know about these particular aftermarket options before I saw yours. Wish you a lot of fun with this build.

It's been a while since I had chance to upload any pics of the Lancaster due to a cry for help from a friend in need of a Chef at his business. All sorted now so I can get a move on.

I finished the weathering today so started on the diorama base.
Should look alright, hopefully.
