Hi to all fellow modellers of the Group Built.
My contribution to the Group Built!!!
The RMS Titanic 1:700.
Its gonna be basic and quick since I have my son on my side and I want him to be interested and motivated instead of borred due to too many details...

Thank you so much for these nice pictures... Look like your son is doing a great job. How is doing ? I'm myself at the same scale of experience... only have use my air brush a couple of times... not that easy !! But I really enjoy playing with it... Before I started I watched a lot of videos on Youtube.. but the only way to learn is to practice. So I have to keep on mind things can not be perfect at the beginning. But even the first time I used it.. my paint job was far much better compared as I was using paint brushes many years ago. Wish you will have a lot of son your son and you. [smile][tongue][smile]

Airbrushing is really lot easier than brushing .
The tricky part is thinning the colours correctly, putting the correct air pressure and avoid blockages . Also cleaning up the airbrush is required very often.
My son loves mainly LEGO !!!!
But I m doing my best to orientate him towards modelling !!

Funny you should mention Lego as I dug mine out whilst I've been recovering from my crash [biggrin]
(I never through it out )

Beginning with hull painting I should have this colour (AK Hull Red):  010e21e5a1f4694099230311333c804727d85eaa9f.jpg
BUT I didn't have it. So i picked from my stock this one:

012987199f4c603d1f06b50baf08443ab2dcfea19b.jpg

And here is the result:

019fa6ab3c1a87ac387b6e5fb54bd3218fd2a21d79.jpg
Citadel was sprayed EXELLENTLY with my airbrush with the addition of just water!!!

And then fitting the engine shafts and the rudder trying to simulate the original TITANIC:

And here is the Result:

Hopes you like it!
