Pictures? did you say pictures? post what you will. we shall look and learn and withold judgements until the very end. THEN, we will criticize!! LOL---kidding of course. I understand what you mean by wet vs dry paint in photographs. you have our patient attention. no worries.

Latest update

Starting to add base coats to the hair. I always paint figures from inside to outer levels.

Sorry for bad photos, had to use my mobile phone.

Someone asked me what paintbrush do I use...it must be tiny. Well I tend to do almost all the painting with a size 0 brush...the brush is a Windsor and Newton Series 7. ...worth buying if you do a lot of miniature figurine painting.

Thanks for looking.

Coming along nicely

Have you tried Rosemary and co brushes? (leas than half cost and as good, if not slightly better quality as Windsor amd newton series 7)

Thank Ted...Happy Holidays my friend..

I've decided to turn my attention to the cloak/cowl. Mixed up a red/blue/white mix to get a good colour somewhere between purple and grey.
Put down a base of this colour to give me something to work from.

Now I need to give this a texture similar to cloth, and the only way I know is to do a very dry, dry brush ... so here goes ...

I'm happy with that...just needs dirtying up a little.

Thanks for looking.

When you get to the point when you think you've gone too far, and you will, then stop and take a break.

Photos...

Not quite right...need to re-think this one...

10 reasons to rejoice! well, when I look at other women [besides my wonderful GF]. I remind her that I may "window shop", but never go in to buy! LOL. Besides, I'm like a dog chasing a car, what would I do with it if I caught it??
Holiday cheers my friend.
