wow indeed. the pics with the lights are killer. the build is looking good. I used a marker on my Mig for preshade but did not get good results--my pen was too thin--and I'm a poet and don't know it....

Just starting to weather the plane up now, done the first sludge wash (Good video) to take the edge off the silver
ill have to read up on weathering decals (thought there was a tread on here for it)
The gravel tuned up today for the center arrow,So will have to make a start on the mount for the plane
Had a go at the bushes but failed [bawl]with that so will have to try a different method [confused]
All in all been a big step out of my comfort zone but learning a lot and Bob's videos are a great help (Thanks Bob ) and to the fellow modellers for all the great comments Thanks [thumb][thumb][thumb]

I think I remember [boy that's a miracle if true] that Bob weathered the decals on the Corsair build towards the end?? not much as I recall? a few shots with thinned black????

Well done a bit more tonight, the red gravel turned up and had a second go at the bushes just waiting for the red bush foam to turn up the i can do that [thumb]bit more work on the mounting post and Just the edging to do round the base (thinking some wood varnished will look ok )
Then all attention turns to the lightning its self lots of weathering to do on this one [eek]
Happy with the way its turning out so far not the best diorama in the world but for a first time iv'e every done one must say i'am chuffed [biggrin]

Alec,

That whole scene is making me smile with surprise as I think WOW and anticipate the finish. The lights rock! I think the trees look great. Be sure to water them!

then on with the air brush getting better at this finally lol
added the water staining off the cockpit and the tail fin and shadow and weathering along the wings and on the fuselage
IMG_20140219_205004
started to add the decals had a miss hap and damage one of them but hoping to work it in with the weathering
