Hello,

I've been watching videos on youtube and notice some people have scale paper plans for the models they are working on. They use these to see where panel lines/rivets etc would be. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get these?

Example:

Hurmm trying to link it specifically to 5 minutes 54 seconds, where the plans are. Doesn't seem to be working.

I've seen several people use these plans for different models. Does anyone know if they are available for sale online?

Thanks!

Hey Seth,

Generally more accurate plans can be found within copies of Scale Aircraft Modelling and Scale Aviation Modeller, each monthly issue generally provides reference material on a particular variant ... also an older magazine called Modelaid was dedicated to just providing scale plans. I have many of these going back years and eBay often has back copies available. Verlinden and DACO publications also provide accurate scaled plans but are very limited in what variants are covered.

Beware though, as even the best have inaccuracies and always try to obtain photographic references to check against. I found several plans for my current Mirage 2000C build but only one was really accurate, and even now I am correcting some small errors found on these plans.

Good luck with your research and builds
Peter
