Great idea, the SR-71 Blackbird is almost a spaceship as it is ! [smile]
paint it like and X-Wing or Silver, maybe get a canopy and figure
from a larger scale, Making extra fins is easy with plastic card, add
some panel scribing etc. or maybe go for an open cockpit land speeder
or maybe do that fine detail thing and make it look like a super
massive star cruiser with control towers and all manner of extra fins etc.
Yeah that shape has loads of potential, good call [smile]

Having looked at your Ju88 (awesome btw) can imagine you doing something cool [smile]

This is where having a scraps box comes in handy, for those spare
canopy, pilots, weapons and wheels etc. [smile]

Anyhow, I've got this old BB gun that I've stripped for springs and things
and I thought if I add some spitfire wings or maybe my spare 1/24 Harrier
canopy and pilot, add some weapons and struts etc. I could make some
kind of gun bike so this what I have sketched out so far, just playing with
ideas at the moment. Also thinking about a VTOL Mecha, bottom left and
a figure sculpt with Donald, bottom right, but so far I'm leaning towards
the Gun Bike [smile]

Yeah its huge though ... 1/72 scale is still 45cm long so i think it will be back to the drawing board, if this one does get giving the go ahead, if not i might still attempt something though.

ive got plenty of ideas floating around my head now.

I like your gun bike idea too.

Ok.....so I think I may have a good idea what I'll create if this is a GO
I'm not going to give away too much guys......but its gonna be a seriously difficult build and yep 100% scratch build to make things even more difficult :-D
1:6 scale if the flavour of the month in my cave and I'll be needing the assistance from a female figure dressed in black leather with a helmet..............may sculpt a figure from sculpey or may cheat and buy one!
A shame if this isn't a go.

For a good old fashioned kitbash you need an endless supply of greeblies, so don't throw any parts that get left on the sprues after a build is finished. And once you start a build you begin too see every day objects in a whole new light ,I was going to use the clear plastic tops from cornettos as intakes in one build lol !

@ Jas

You just want an excuse to get down to toys r us and max your credit card on items from the Barbie aisle lol !

Ha ha ha you got it mate, hey....wonder if they do a voluptuous Barbie with....or one with...er.....enhancements?
My build will require a certain look.."cough cough".....!

@Pete...good pro tip there mate....looking at all kinds of everyday objects in a different light. You'll be amazed what you can do with a Cornetto!

Hint / spoiler......there's an attractive leather clad lady involved and she may be or may not be riding something......before anyone asks it will be completely 100% PC ;-)

lol, documentary, haha, so when Jas says it will be completely 100% PC, does he really mean PVC ? [biggrin]

Jas, I'm gonna guess some kind of speeder jet bike thrusta thing with robot "bits" [biggrin]
and like Steve said, if we get a no go it would be nice to know your plan [smile]

"greeblies" - new one on me Pete ! [smile]

Cheers Steve, nice to hear that the ideas are coming thick and fast [biggrin]
Curiosity is getting the better of me now, can't wait to see what
peoples creations might come out of this !

awesome ! that's the spirit  !! [biggrin]

Too many ideas is the right problem to have I reckon [thumb]
I think you will surprise yourself [wink]

I find the trick is breaking it down into bits and
working out which is the sensible starting point.
Sketching it out is good for this [smile]

Sorry if I am stating the obvious but I do have a gift for it [biggrin]
