90% there !! [smile]
Only 90% to go !!!! [biggrin]
Almost at the painting stage, a bit more adjustment to get everything square as I can and some masking etc.

Anyhow, here's a few photos of a dry run test fit etc. [smile]
A few niggles but shaping ok, tails were tricky to glue on symmetrically, couple of goes and it's close enough

I'm excited to see the paint go down and find out what you have up your sleeve for this colour wise

After a bout of hairbrush troubles, broken nib and farty sounds etc.
and a homemade "extractor fan" later, some progress :D

I'm doing a weee experiment with Sharpie Pen preshading and an unexpected
results is the thinned primer reactivates the ink from the pen causing some
blending, might be quite effective, especially with practice.

Some more coats of thinned primer and the pen marks kinda melt in natural ish way

I just found out not too long ago that a sharpie will do that under a clear cote. I hadn't thought to use it to my advantage the way you have. I may have to try that.  [biggrin]

I used Vallejo thinners and primer mixed at 50-50 %
and laid it on till it was wet. Additional layers kept
reactivating the ink bringing it to the top again even
after 24 hours of drying between primer coats.
I was worried the paint would do the same thing,
I used AK's paints and thinned with water and added a
drop of thinner and luckily it stayed where it was [smile]

I reckon it's the alcohol in the thinners reactivating
the ink hence thinning the paint with water.

But I reckon there might be some mileage in this,
especially for those of us whose airbrush control
aint up to doing 1mm wide lines [biggrin]

Other things to try are doing the big felt tip blemishes
first straight onto the plastic and then using thinners
on a cotton bud to blend nicely into streaks etc. then
add panel lines, stippling like chipping patterns.
Also want to try using other colours on whole panels
for some cheap colour modulation effects.

Anyhow a little more progress, about to do the yellow bits [biggrin]

Cheers chaps [thumb]
Creeping forward to that final reveal soon Mike [wink]

Anyhow ! Nearly decal time !! [biggrin]

In the mean time, a dry fit just to see how she's looking, some tidy up to, a penance for impatience [wink]

Some dry brushing, chipping and glossing, then decals !! [biggrin]
Kinda my favorite bit [smile]
