no worries [smile]

The Mudak is based on a BB pistol, pair of 1/48 spitfire wings with a 1/24 Harrier canopy and pilot.
with the rest of the fuselage scratch built [smile]
if you want to do the Spitfire nose at the back that would be 1/32.

That's what I'll be using on mine anyhow just to give you more of an idea where my thinking was [smile]

Anyhow, I thought you said you were a beginner ?
The Mudak has some challenges to it.
Anyhow, I'm excited to see what you come up with [smile]

Yes Sir, i'm a beginer. I started the hobby again (after 20 years) 2 years ago. Yes it will be a challenge, but I saved the concept, and I think i'll start it around the last quarter of the year. My plan is to bring her at the 2017 MosonShow in Hungary. Now I have more WIP in same time. The Royal Guard Interceptor, AT-ST, pirate X wing, Spitfire ... [biggrin] I have to finish they before the MUDAK.

haha no worries, I did completely misunderstand though as I was thinking how
can I make this easy to follow and should I stick to just the parts in both kits
to make it easier for you to follow along, I might have to do the Mudak next [smile]

It's looking the part now mate and is very close to your original vision in the drawing. I'm amazed how just putting the pilot on the bike changes the scale it lols much larger with the rider.

For colour scheme are you going with your drawing or have you got something else u your sleeve ?

Cheers Ted, Thomas and Corel [smile]

Pete, and I quote "it lols much larger with the rider." hahaha [biggrin]

I lol much larger with some of your comments haha [smile]

Anyhow, drawing round the kit parts really helped that whole thing along of the model
looking like the picture
hehe [wink]
But yeah after much thought I think that is pretty much the scheme I am going for as it
ties in with my Zelle Fire, I had this idea for a comic book using photos of models with
the characters, scenery and effects drawn & photoshopped together. I came up with a
really rough story board but I'm a crap writer. See below, the 6 main panels are to be
read left to right as thought they are individual pages, if anyone can write better than I
say hi, I obviously need to team up with the writer, forgive the poor artwork, it's rough [smile]

I did think about Ma.K. Steam Punk, Patalobr Manga etc. colour schemes too but I going
to stick with Plan A [smile]
Also finally decided on a name for it,
The Spatz !
German for sparrow [biggrin]

Anyhow more progress below [smile]

Just the chin turret to sort out and that's the major surgery done for the fuselage, the exhaust nozzles all working now, push fit too [smile]
Thinking about what order to do everything and how much to assemble before painting etc.

Handle bars next, which will be kinda like longer versions of the Star Wars Speeder Bikes, like mechanical reins is what I'm going for here.
Starting with a 1/72 Huey rotor hub, chop the blades off and cut out a recess in the centre console for it to poke out of, connect rods
come back to the handles which are from the Kiowas weapons and mounts, add wires, light with touch paper and retreat to a safe distance [biggrin]

[230944-15629-88]

Well the kit of parts is slowly coming together now, 90% done and only 90% to go [wink] [biggrin]
Aside from the handle bars I think the feet rests are going to be the next biggest
challenge as much of it is going to be scratch form sheet. The saddle also has some
work ahead, how to mount it, add some padding etc.

The observant among you may notice the black BB gun firing peg the end of which is going to be the chin turret...
I'm also going to add a few pumps, levers and wires. hoses and tubings externally to de slick it slightly if you get what I mean.

Clear classical guitar strings might make good silicone tubings with a little staining anyhow .......

I am so pleased Nigel's GB suggestion won the day !!
Cheers Nigel and everyone who voted for it [biggrin]

I really don't do myself any favours with Autocorrect fails like that do I lol

I had better type this very carefully so there is no way I can be misconstrued

The build is coming along really well and I particularly like the heavy thrusters at the rear (boom boom) I'll get me coat

Jas, what Pete said...

Pete, also what Pete said....
I implore you to take your own advice on this one,
you can at least squeeze in a snack sized build [biggrin]
Good time to revisit Jet Bikes ? [wink]

Jas nice of you pop by, will you be revisiting that
secret idea of yours from the last time round when
we were gettin excited about a possible Sci Fi
Scratch'nBash GB ?

Anyhow, I look forward to seeing what you gonna
make as I'm feeling a bit "ronely" over here as the
only scratch'n'basher thus far [smile]
