Well...that did not go well.  First off, I ended up with seams- not steps, but seams I couldn't get rid of.  I finally used a bead of superglue along them and sanded forever.  But then, only after installing the cockpit did i discover that it didn't fit correctly, and was seated too too high in the fuselage, so that the rear windows would not fit on because the headrest area was protruding too high.  So anyway, while trying to remove the rear window from the sprue, it split in two.  I destroyed one of the exhausts trying to drill it out- I think the 1 mil that Bobby said he used turns out to be too big.

So.. I', not going to give up!  I AM going to learn how to do this.  I ordered another kit, and I'll go again.

It is a bit discouraging though...[bawl]

I think a lot of us have been in that position before Marc.

Disasters can happen to the best of modellers, and we've had to bite the bullet and pick ourselves back up, and learn from mistakes.
You are doing the right thing by picking yourself up and starting again.
There are some really great lads, within the forum, who all give each other encouragement and words of help. Whenever you need help then shout and someone will hear and lend a helping hand, that's what makes this such an honest forum.

Good luck with your next build.

Thanks Nigel that encouragement is exactly what I needed.  Some guys take to this like a duck to water, with me, its a little more challenging.
