A stunning piece of eye-candy. Well done mate, it is so realistic I'm going to use it as a reference guide.

Thanks Nigel, it's funny but towards the end of it I couldn't wait for it to be done but now that it is I miss working on it lol

Thanks mate, more than once I thought I had bitten off more than I could chew with the deck but it didn't turn out too bad in the end

Pete,
grinning to myself as I keep looking back over the pictures, seeing new detail each time and admiring your craftsmanship and engineering. that blast barrier [name?] is unreal---I mean incredibly real!

Thanks Ted ! The shield is called a JBD ( jet blast deflector) I'm really chuffed with how it turned out, it wasn't a nice experience making the parts for the arms lol
It wasn't difficult to make 1 but getting all of the others the same turned out to be a bit of a challenge.
I did have moments when I was doing the deck where I felt like throwing the towel in, but I think it was worth the effort in the end, the phantom looks good sitting on it, I have an f/a-18 hornet in the stash, I would like to get that built and see it on the deck too, I will see what happens after the spitfire

Cheers again for your kind comments and support Ted, I really appreciate it mate !

Pete

Maybe we should try to get the f/a-18 as the next group build [wink]. I just happen to have one in my stash as well.

Truly awesome that has got to be the best build I have ever seen, I think I'm going to take up knitting, and sell the stash, well and truly a masterpiece mate.
William Hills odds are pretty short on this as the favourite.
