Hi everyone,

Here is another update on my progress so far, still working on the engine and frame and it's coming along nicely.

And again with a grey wash on it.....

And finally with the wash clean up and the engine installed in the frame.  A dark wash was also applied to the frame areas.......

A little more work to go to finish the engine area.

Thanks for looking,

Hi Guys, thanks for the comments.  I've been plugging away a little bit at a time on the engine and framework.  It's coming along nicely and is almost ready to be installed on the plane.

I don't have any photos of my progress but I did get some goodies in the mail yesterday.........

All that talk earlier in this thread about the mustangs made me go out and get them.

Cheers,

Hi,

I haven't had much bench time in the last couple weeks but was able to sit down last night for a bit.  I painted up a few odds and ends and managed to get the engine assembly installed on the front of the airframe.  I think the engine assembly is tilted up slightly and I'll have to take a look but overall I happy with the progress.

Hi,  another small update for everyone.  I've been working away at all the little bits to get this ready for primer which should be soon, last thing to do is to mask all the clear parts.  Here are a couple photos of the canopy in place both open and closed and the last shot is of the plane on the supplied stand.  Not sure I'll ever use the stand but I thought I'd make it anyways.

A little more work in the past few days, I've masked the canopy with the masking set provided in the kit which worked out perfectly.  Other then that I glued the aftermarket 20mm canons in the wings and prepared the rest of the plane for primer.  Hopefully if I can find time in the next few days, I'll spray the primer and then on to the fun part.

Here are some pics..............

It's been a little over a week since I last worked on this and although I'm still not that far along, I did start the painting process.  First was to spray the inside colours for the canopy then I managed the get some primer on the bottom of the plane.  Hopefully in the next day or two I'll prime the top and then hit it with another coat top an bottom before starting with the actual paint job.

Priming for paint at this point in the GB is great! Actually way ahead in the scheme of things.
