Disaster struck yesterday.
I was hoping to complete the Tamyia model of the Austin 10HP Tilly 1/35 scale, but when I picked the model up both front wheels fell off, I have tried to reattach the wheels but feel that it is beyond saving, as there is not enough plastic to make a strong joint for the wheels to remain attached. As it is a shame as I got the model to a point, where its painted to a standard where I was happy where the model had progressed to in is construction. I am not sure what I am going to do yet, as I think it might be case of scrape this one and start with a fresh kit. I would like to be able to cast a white metal front axle as the kit one is so delicate and is not strong enough for the job it is supposed to do. Is there anyone else out there had the same problem as I have had, and how did you work to resolve the problem. I started this kit as part of my therapy to help me through my depression that I suffer from. I can easily get frustrated when things go wrong, which can be counterproductive. I am feeling disappointed with what has happened as I was looking forward to completing this model.

Only thing I can think of is some 15amp fuse wire, a micro-drill of the same diameter and some superglue. The fuse wire is pretty tough, and if you have enough land to drill deep enough the superglue should hold it.
