I'm using the same technique, with white-tac, to repaint my D.520.  I'll post a thread later.

Hi all
Here's an update on where I am at with my model.
First of all, the fit of the fuselage and wings went together really well. There was no putty involved.
I then sprayed it in a silver colour...... PHOTO-2019-03-06-13-10-43.jpg  PHOTO-2019-03-06-13-10-54.jpg  PHOTO-2019-03-06-13-11-05.jpg  but I then decided that it was a bit of a hassle to paint the green camouflage free hand, so I decided to paint it green first and mask it up and then paint silver over the top. But first I had to paint the red tail and the black nose..... PHOTO-2019-03-06-13-11-35.jpg  PHOTO-2019-03-06-13-11-48.jpg  PHOTO-2019-03-06-13-12-00.jpg  PHOTO-2019-03-06-13-12-33.jpg  PHOTO-2019-03-06-13-13-07.jpg
jand then I glossed the red and then added on the decals...... Wow! Beautiful work!
Trying to catch up with all the builds going on in this GB. Are you going for that mottled camo? Looks very tricky! Looking forward to see your progress!

Thanks, I sealed the decals in with three layers of matt coat so I think it should be ok:)

Sorry to hear that, William, she looked like she was coming along nicely.  Are you sure she's beyond salvage?
