This will be my first P-47 build ever. Just gor this kit a few days ago at a local hobby store here in Cape Town.

Love the size and design of the P-47 and am so excited to do this build. Will keep you posted as I go along.

A Jug looks great in any scale.  Keep up the good work.

Never tried to paint directly on the sprue... but I think that with 1/72 scale models it is far more easier to do soo. Especialy with the tiny pieces... Thank you so much for your pictures.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. Building a bit slow at present due to long work days but will post every weekend when I get chance to build.

Have done some more work on the cockpit. So far enjoying the build. Next I will add colours to control knob. Then give a clear coat before I do a bit of weathering for realism

Herewith is latest progress on cockpit. I have painted all panels and knob. Next will be construction. So far enjoying this Tamiya kit. Detail
Is good on kit so no aftermarket products need for a novice builder like me.
