Are you sure that's 1/72?!  That's some beautiful work there, I find cockpit detailing fiddly enough in 1/48!

If I click on the links you have provided, I see your pictures. That is some impressive work in Braille scale! I could not see the pictures earlier but now I do. If you want your pictures to appear directly on the page, you will need to use a photo sharing site like smug mug or flicker to get a sharing code. Thanks for the update—-looking great!

Hi Freak1978,

regarding getting pics into your posts, not sure about palm tops and phones etc.
but if you're using a normal PC in the "Reply to this Topic" window you'll see a row of buttons along the top,
towards the right hand side you can see a little Green Tree button which is Insert Picture.
Click it and select "Web Address (URL)"
and then copy and paste the URL for the image in there and hit OK like so  [biggrin]

You can go back and edit your previous posts to do this too [wink]
Hope this helps and any problems just give me a shout
Nice work btw !

Ok, I just read your post about adding pictures to a thread. As long as I have been on Genessis, I’ve never seen a row of buttons on the top that allows you to add pictures! But........I did click on “edit”, then “use full editor” and there was the option to add images from my computer or from a website.
I feel as if I’ve been in a blindfold all this time. I was instructed to use an image sharing site to get a code for my pictures in order to share them on Genessis. When photobucket stopped allowing free sharing and stopped people from using their own images it destroyed some threads here on Genessis.
I cannot imagine that none of the other experienced members here did NOT know the onsite method for adding pictures to threads.
I am sick to my stomach. I’ve spent countless hours loading images to photo sharing sites in order to get a code to allow me to post images on Genessis.

Total brain numbing shock!!!

I'm a bit surprised at you all!  I just click on the reply button, and right there, at the top of the dialogue box, is the aforementioned buttons, including the tree one.  There are two options, with little circle-spots.  'Web URL' or 'My computer.'  I have always just clicked on my computer, and uploaded images straight from my computer.

Just like this one.

I feel like I’ve been living on another planet. I uploaded a pic straight from my computer and I feel like an idiot! I’m away from home right now but I’m going to have another look for the buttondyyou describe. Maybe I’m running an old version of the site??

"Galileo !! el figaro !!" [biggrin]

Ah I'm sorry to hear that Ted, glad you found a way around it though [smile]
Ted when you "Reply to this Topic" at the bottom there should be a row of buttons at the top of text window,
at least on PC's anyhow.
Not sure about Mac users or Palm Tops or phones etc.

clicking on “edit” then “use full editor” definitely provides more options,
although I remember that after a time you don't get the option to edit
though this may have changed too because as an admin I can edit any post at any time.

The add a picture from your computer is relatively new feature that came about after the PhotoSuckit debacle.
I usually upload my picture to Scalemates and then link them from there,
although it has caused me some problems too when Tim changed the addressing system to accommodate the rapid growth of Scalemates.

Although that said I have seen some people say that they don't get the option of uploading pictures directly,
perhaps you need to be a member for a designated period of time but I am not sure on this.

Attaching files or inserting links usually just gives you a link rather than displaying the picture.

Anyhow, if anyone has any trouble with any of this just holler, I'm happy to help !!
I can even edit your posts for you if need be ...
but if you can work out how to do it then even better [biggrin]

Hi, Here's how I add pictures on my PC, this is only one of many ways to do I presume... (I found this on myself... and I'm very proud of It ...[rolleyes][crazy][biggrin])

Below the reply window, click on the «more reply options» button.

Insert Photo..jpg

Then Click on the «Insert Photos» link

Insert photo.jpg
A knew window opens and then click on the «choose photo» button
Insert photo 2.jpg
Now you can browse on your computer to find the the photo you want to add

Insert photo 3.jpg

That's it...

soon as you guys pointed out the method I uploaded a photo into an old thread, then deleted it. Easy peasy. The knowledge of this pathway will cut my uploading into my WIP threads in half if not more. Geez, best thing in 2019 so far!!!
