This link is for Ted to introduce and display his final reveal photographs, and give his conclusions after ending his build.

The build WIP thread is here:

http://genessis-models.websitetoolbox.com/post/teds-build-polar-lights-1966-batmobile-with-figures-7888370?trail=570#562

Nigel was gracious enough to send me this kit for a SIG between Fabian, Pete, and Myself. I began by failing to give him all of my address which delayed the delivery of the kit. I got Nigel's permission to buy one locally and then.........the kit he mailed showed up. Go figure, right? I decided to throw in the car the 66 Batmobile was built from. I Ordered the 1956 Ford Lincoln FUTURA online and declared I was making a diorama of the two cars passing each other on the highway. Well, I moved my hobby workspace 3X, had some health problems, lost my MOJO off and on.
I never intended to drop out of the SIG but Fabian and Pete created true works of art with their kits while I floundered. I will be posting a couple of more pics of the two cars on a road. Its already built but I have the National IPMS to contend with starting tomorrow.

Both kits had fit issues, warping, and the 66 Batmobile decals were absolutely horrible. Good thing I had two kits and two sets of decals to struggle with. My biggest worries were getting the  66 Batmobile painted properly and doing the decals. I scored a "C" at best in both areas. I am glad that the project is finished. Thank you NIGEL and Genessis gang for your good support!

Great work, Ted, your tenacity in the face of several problems is inspirational.  Congratulations on finishing, even if it's just a tad late!

Fabian, K&K, you guys are great to make the nice comments. Thank you very much! I will now be moving on to finish another “shelved” GB aircraft—F-4 B from the “aircraft carrier GB”. Cheers!
