Note about making the rocks.

The technique comes from my experience in multimedia art and building props for stage
productions. Once all the paper is fastened in place, I will begin applying white glue and or Mod Podge. The paper will
get very wet and malleable, but when it hardens it will be very solid. There is a LOT of latitude creating rocks this way.
Its much easier than most any other method I've seen, and YES, it can be applied to ground dioramas. take your base
and with the paper already crumpled, put down chunks of any material that you can glue to the base to put the paper over
and make the "rocks" stand up off the surface. You can also glue the edges of the paper down and then experiment with
making the "rocks" look partially buried as you bring dirt and ground cover around them. Again, applying the white glue
with a Medium "CHIP" brush will allow you to create endless details. When coated thoroughly, the rocks can be painted
and other effects added with washes and such. Play with some paper and a board to begin with.

One other tip: practice crumpling the paper less tightly is an option, or use a combination of multiple crumpling from different directions.
Crumple, open paper, crumple again, open [even iron the paper on low heat with an iron], then crumple again....or don't!
You can use this technique for some walls, etc. Its fun and very creative.

Thank you gentlemen. I’ve used this technique for decades. On stage it’s wooden frames with chicken wire, the paper, and brads to fasten the paper to the wire. It’s a fun technique. Try it!

I felt that the elimination of the side computer section--although more similar to the 89 movie set, and the addition of the stairway down to an access door under the garage floor added interest and kept the focus more central to the viewers eye

Thank you Alain. I made a statement when I started on
Genessis in 2012 that I would show the good, bad, and ugly. Having spent a majority of my life teaching in one venue or another, sharing how I do things is natural for me.

Thank you very much Daniel. I actually came close to finishing the car last night. Just need flat varnish. Next is to paint the batcave and put everything in place for the diorama.

Closing in on finishing this project--I have no choice! The National IPMS show opens locally on 8/7/19. I am taking quite a few of my models and dioramas to place in a special non competitive show area. I WILL have my 3-part Batmobile Diorama ready, several sci-fi builds, and a 1/72 P-38. This is my one chance at 15 min of fame to have my work at an IPMS event. So on with some more detail images. I have Matt Varnished all of the Batmobile components as well as garage pieces. My most challenging part left? Painting the Bat cave base. The work must be spot on or the whole project suffers. I would have to use a very simple base, but I want WOW! Something memorable.
