I had a bit of a dig around in the stash and have come up with this for a prize.

An academy 1/35 UAV

It has a couple of figures with it too

I hope that it might appeal to aircraft modellers and armour modellers, and even figure painters.
It's only a tiny kit but what's in the box looks really nice and there is even a base so an instant diorama is possible, also there is a decal sheet of digital camo for the uniforms printed by cartograf

Obviously I will only be participating in the group build for fun, but I will post the kit out to whoever wins

Well it's a Tuesday. Should I leave more time before pulling the trigger on the GB guys? I figured there would be more people signing up by now.

Give it a little more time Mike, say until end of week, but anyone can join in after the start.

I'm going to start on the motorbike rider as I have another figure I will be entering into the competition, you might like this one as it's a 54mm US Marine.

54mm? Hmm... That sounds interesting.

Personally I'm chomping at the bit a little myself. I have a heck of an idea this time and its not a GW figure. [wink]

I'm sure I'll be blowing you guys away! Muwahaha!!

You should! [biggrin]
I am very much thinking the surprise element of the figure GB may stick around. I may make it a sub-rule?

My line of thinking is that a figure, obviously, must be in the main focus of your entry, but what the figure interacts with, or is involved with, can be a surprise or secret until the final reveal.

Since we kinda already do this I don't think its much of a stretch to formally include it as a rule you may choose to follow, or perhaps just make it part of the theme we work with in general for the entire build.

I need opinions here. I really like the surprise finish concept. I want to know if anyone else is up for it with me. [smile]

You betcha! Aliens, Drarves, Elves, Zombies, and even animals qualify.

We have the rest of the year to complete a build and any figures along the way and you're welcome to join in at any time. [smile]

Hmm... Will there be a person in it? Next to it? Anywhere near it?
I'd have to see the figure to get a good idea of how, or if it would qualify.

First I was thinking " yep.", and then "that would be more like armor", but now I'm stuck in the middle lol.

I think so long as it looks humanoid, like the Terminator, but not Robbie the Robot or Gork.
