A Christmas update [biggrin]

Due to holiday i finally got some proper work done on this bird.

Wheels are almost done.
First stage painting.

After weathering

After painting the main body colors some detail painting is done, i used AK true metal
vax to "silver" the leading edges. I used my fingertip to apply and polish it in and though the color looks great, I used the steel color it creeped under the mask so the end result was not 100%. If need to mask i will stick to airbrush in the future. true metal vax is best to apply to whole parts without needing to mask.

Product:

Masking:

Result:

I have to touch up....

Update continues.

I build and weather the landing gear and landing gear doors before gluing it on the plane.

Product used for weathering it was MIG enamel wash "panzergrey blue". It might seam like a strange color but it works excellent :-)

Next up is propeller, i masked and paint each color with airbrush cos i didn't like the decals. Tamiya decals is to thick and difficult to work with so Im avoiding them as much as i could.

Landing gear and door is on without any problem.

Then it was time for decals, and Brengun decals worked super but Tamiyas is crap.
I had to use some of Tamiya decals and they are just to thick. But after several reapplies of micro sol it was an acceptable result.

Next step is weathering and put on the last details, and do some touch up painting.

New update will follow tomorrow.

Merry Christmas to all!
