Hi Guys, Here is my entry for the group build. WWII Bomber aircraft are one of my favorite subjects so I have to join in with this one. I got this kit from one of the guys in my model club and it came with a lot of extras. He asked me a couple of weeks ago if I'd started it and then when I saw it was the group build subject I thought it would be a shame not to do it. Here are my start shots. It came with PE seat belts, cockpit interior, wheel wells, exterior, and landing flaps, canopy mask set and extra decal sets. I have decided to do the 301 Polish Sqn from RAF Swinderby 1940 because that is where I did my basic training when I joined the Royal Air Force. I have also got a Mig Ammo WWII weathering set and the Lifecolor Battle of Britain paint set because it has the correct Green and Brown. Great subject Nev. Looks like we have another serious competitor for the GB. Of course, we will be watching and good luck! I think you're going to enjoy this.

Hi Guys, Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement. I have made a start and it's PE all the way. This is going to be a labour of love. By the way I am dedicating this build to Paul, the guy I bought this kit off. He is currently battling cancer and is fighting it all the way. He still comes to the model club every Tuesday night no matter how rough he feels and never complains about how he is feeling even though we no he is putting a brave face on. So like I said PE. I marked the parts to be removed with red marker so I don't take the wrong ones off. Here is a shot of the parts that need painting put on and the pre painted parts will be put on later after the cockpit has it's colour. This is a shot of how the chairs come on the PE fret and when they are made up. A rough idea of what the cockpit will look like. More to come very soon, I only have time on a weekend to post my progress up so hopefully you will see a bit more over the next couple of days. Good to see you cutting plastic Nev ! And as Simon said, you are off to a great start, nice that you are dedicating this to your mate too. I'm sure all of us know someone who has been affected by this cruel illness, I wish him all the best Pete
