Thanks Guy's I'm really enjoying this one. Next is the Instrument panel.

It is gradually built up from the PE parts not just one panel.

Here is the finished panel.

Will post some more very soon so Stay Tooned. [thumb]

Cheers Guy's,

I have decided to do the main cockpit area interior green instead of black so the detail would stand out. I know it isn't as the kit says but hey call the colour police [tounge2], I don't want all the PE hidden black on black.

I have also done most of the interior the same but it will be weathered and worn in time.

Here is a look at the cockpit and as you see the detail will stand out more when the canopy is on because you can not see very much
then.

More soon, Stay Tooned. [thumb]

Hi everyone, it's the weekend again and time to post a little more.
Here I am starting on the radio's. Parts 33 and 34 go on the right hand side face after I have smoothed it off and parts 44 and 45 go on the left.

After that I place the knobs on using Micro Kristal Klear and as you see compared to the paint pot they are very small.

Here are the finished faces which prove that the pre painted PE is far better than I could ever do myself and worth every penny.

More to come over the weekend so Stay Tooned. [thumb]

Looking very nice Nev ! The coloured etch really does add a level of detail that would be impossible to recreate any other way

Is it really hard to work with Photoeched parts? I have tried it vet and I am a little nervous

Hi Guy's,

Next I thought the seats looked a bit uncomfortable so I decided to make some seat cushions.
I used the cushion part of an Elastoplast and cut it to size.

Then I used Kristal Klear to stick them together and clamped them in a peg until dry.

I then test fitted them and then painted them green and scrubbed them a bit to look worn.

After that I fitted the PE seatbelts which look really good, I hope you can see them in the end.

More very soon so Stay Tooned. [thumb]

Hi, back with my final report of the weekend.

At this stage I am doing the last finishing touches to the main interior and putting it together. Here I am making a wooden effect for the doors, walk way and the desk top. I used Tamiya XF-79 Linoleum Dark Brown as the under coat and XF-78 Wooden Deck Tan as a streaky top coat. It needs more XF-79 streaks over it yet in this shot but you will see how it comes out later.

This is where they go but still need a little work yet. I haven't taken the IPM off the partition because you won't see them.

Next I installed the partitions in the bomb bay and painted it XF-1 then dry brushed it all with a touch of Mr Metal Color 211 Chrome, I did it very lightly because you don't need much.

This is a shot of it all in place to get the door ways lined up.

Here are a few shots of the centre part of the interior, by the way the centre planking was done with the same wooded effect as the doors and then scuffed over to look like a lot of foot traffic with XF-63 German Grey.

Well lots of nice detail to close up but on this aircraft it has long windows down the sides so hopefully you will see something. The next part I am doing is the detail on the interior walls and cockpit and then putting it together, so until then happy modelling and as ever:-

Stay Tooned. [thumb]
