There are many pre-painted models in the market last time. So, I decided to try it out. In case of submarine, it's a no-brainer, 5 minutes and all done. I've chosen one of two Trumpeter pre-painted models. Song Class. Unlike all my expectations, that was pre-paint, not a different colored plastic. So, idea was what will be at the end of building model as it is? Result was not a spectacular. Ugly gap between two halves of the hull ruined all pre-paint. If i'd like to remove it, I would be forced to sand and repaint all hull. No sanding. We go as it is. Finally, I applied decals, gloss coat, two washes (gray and brown) and masked a gap a bit, with rust wash. Then applied a matt coat. And here it is. Experiment to be continued. Rodney from MENG and Astute from Trumpeter on the way, stay tuned! [biggrin]

Yet another beautiful build and finish. How many completed submarine models do you currently have?
