Well inspired by Bobby's Challenger and Nortnenboy work i've dug out one from my stash
a cheap win off ebay could only wish to be in the same standard as these too but got to start somewhere
On opening the kit the detail was impressive for the money

on closer inspection the flash on this kit is horrendous [eek]

started the build and soon realised why they are so cheap[rolleyes]

the fit on this kit is very poor but i must say think thats why i have enjoyed this build so much ,because had to work to get every part to fit taken me two hours just to get the top of the base to fit (only four parts) and made a start on the turret [smile]

Hi Alec
Sometimes cheap deal on ebay means one thing... sometimes quite opposite. I had a simmillar story with my Revell Bell Huey 1/42 - horrible quality of plastic, loads of flash... but overall build give me a tons of satisfaction! Soon will start my armour project- so looking forward for your conclusions and progress.
Good luck and have a fun!

cheers
Christian

Glad to see another armor build here. I am thinking about building a Russian SU-122 I bought myself recently. I also ordered some PE for it. Can't wait to see what you do with this type 90!

Messed about with my air brush tonight getting used to using it
Been following Bob's videos on the challenger
done the gray primer, then a rusty colour for the weathering (coat of hairspray) then started on the camouflage green then two shades of brown
Not doing the scheme on the box, I have seen a few images of models done in box scheme, not to impressed, so using the same colours but more subtle.
photo not picked up the colours great, more contrast to the camouflage than the images show but with some weathering and detailing should look ok
On to the Next video Thanks Bob learning a lot as i go[biggrin]
