I feel the same way! I have a 1/48 Phantom waiting to be completed from the shelf of doom and I CANNOT imagine duplicating what he has done. However, I belong to a number of Facebook groups for modeling and I see incredible techniques and work daily. This guy just set the bar higher!

I do remember, probably 30+ years ago, people using KitKat wrapper foil for aluminium effects. I even have a bottle of the Micro industries adhesive which they produced for sticking the foil down. It appears to be very similar to Micro Krystal Klear. Can't remember if Bare Metal foil was around then, or if this was just a cheaper way of achieving a similar effect. However, the small washers on this model is taking it to yet another level again.

I also remember talk about using kitchen foil to cover whole airframes. I guess choosing the various thicknesses for different areas would be part of the challenge. The rivets? I kept looking at them. Insane!😮😮
