This is the kit:

..... and it is truly awful. I'm only continuing with it as it's quite an unusual subject and makes a change from Panzers etc.

The red arrow in this photo points to a fit problem that I could not solve. The side of the hull is meant to be flush with the horizontal surface. No way could I get this to happen. The yellow arrow shows where I had to use some styrene to fill a huge gap. I addition the drivers flap had to be posed semi open as it too just doesn't fit.!!!

In this photo the yellow arrow points to a veritical section that has to be cut out (both sides) and replaced with the section indicated with the red arrow.

Oh joy of joys!!! :14:

Got the paint laid and clear coated for the decals. I'm doing the Bulgarian army version which should just have numbers. They broke up badly on me so I'm using the supplied crosses. One of these also broke up on me and I had to 'fix' it. Don't know if the crosses are correct for the Bulgarian army but at this stage I don't care either.

So now.... what is this all about. Come on guys, get something right.

I swear if anything else goes wrong, this one will hit the back wall!!!

Well ... that sucks. Not a complete waste though. Obviously you'll need to cut a few links out. :/

Are they vinyl?

Yup... they are vinyl.

They say 'out of adversity comes triumph' so I am pretty happy with my 'fix'. The join is at the bottom. I still need to settle the teeth into the undersized track holes on the drive wheels though.

I learned something too. CA may be rubbish rubber to rubber, but works well rubber to stytene.

Aside from that drive sprocket tooth issue, that looks loads better.

It appears you have full command of this build. [smile]

Thanks Mike. Not sure about 'full command' but I feel on top of it now. LOL

I worked on the tracks again and this is as good as they're going to get I think, so I'm calling them good.

Methinks some heavy weathering is going to be in order on this one!!! LOL

Sorry to hear about all of the challenges you are facing! A lot of the old school kits have fit issues, but I don't think I've ever seen anything of this magnitude. My sympathies for all of the extra work you must do. That being said, it looks like you have overcome most of the challenges quite well, indeed!
