good guess but it is something else. It is hard to see in all that tangled mess [the "interior" area of the car]. Its something every car and tank and airplane needs! Thanks!

Closer but no. Keep searching the image. It's a Russian MIG part installed upside down.

yes, its a Academy 1/48 Mig29A seat from my spares box. NOT matching the 1/25 car kit but it is representative of sort of a "stool" or stadium seat that has been mounted in the interior just to give the operator something to sit on. THANKS!

Did not intend to work on scale modeling today but...............the bug kept biting so I opened the closet and went inside [lol]. The picture sort of explains what I did. You can get ammo belts in PE and resin but I need to make my own. I will be satisfied with almost anything that at least gives the appearance of an ammo belt. Technique 2 is quicker, but technique 1 looks more realistic, but I would have to work out the kinks in producing the bullets.

Lots of work inside, outside of the vehicle as well as beginning to produce items for the diorama ground surface.

Thanks guys! Much appreciated. I actually nixed the safety glass and will redo. the model "glass" was just too thick.

meanwhile, here are some assembly montages. getting closer to base paint, then the "fun" begins!

Thanks Gerry! It is loaded and I have not applied the armor plates yet. I forgot to explain that the dark round discs in the front [5] and [2] in the back are huge spotlights. I covered the "glass" with tape for painting. I also have to make mesh covers for the lights, finish them separately, and apply after paint.

Speaking of paint, here is my plan:

1. Base paint FLAT BLACK
2. Parts of car body the turquoise-ish color
3. Hairspray over the turquoise.
4. some shade of green for a simple camo
5. chipping to revel some of the turquoise
6. various metal colors in the engine, interior, and weapons areas.
7. Missiles white
8. Rust rust rust everywhere
9. Dirty pigments everywhere
10.Hydraulics [not built yet] and mechanical legs [also not built yet] will be black based, then AB Yellow,
then hairspray, then the camo color[s]. Chipping will reveal some of the yellow.
11.Lots of decay and dust, rust, corrosion, streaks, stains, etc., etc., etc.,
12. the base will depict total destruction of any buildings with random debris, including lots of rust and dust also.

Well, that's the "plan", what will really happen? cross your fingers!

I think this is the basic insect leg design [yes, the large multiple spotlights up front ARE intentionally like an insect too]

Here is a quickie design rendering done in Photoshop. Sorry, no animation.
