yeah, not the strangest but interesting none the less, I like it, especially the version with the two engines on the tail fin,
looks like something Gerry Anderson would come up with for a Thunderbirds episode [smile]

I think at the moment the T55 based Progvev-T is looking the most likely candidate for two very good reasons [biggrin]
It looks very Sci Fi plus !
I have a T55 in 1/35th [biggrin]
also I reckon the turret is within my scratch building range, mostly flat sides really looking at that one and only picture [smile]

I can imagine a couple of traditional hatches in the top with a ladder up the back, maybe a machine gun on one of the hatches ?

There would be some artistic license required  [smile]

almost ready for paint [smile]
not a fan of those plastic tracks, apparently there is a motorisable version of this kit with a few different sprues and rubber tracks, if only I had known, ah well no worries, a bit of love and all will be good  [smile]
[275003-15629-35]
Chipped wheels, they will look better painted, I hope [smile]
[275004-15629-99]
But then I found this nice little build of this kit with some nice scratch built extras not in the kit, some of which I'll be adding [smile]

[kRnKoCv]
This is my first sketch of what I need to scratch build [smile]
Lots of guess work though I have a pretty good idea of what to do with the M bracket.

[275001-15629-76]

trying to break it down into chunks [smile]

[275002-15629-86]

And these will be my principal scratch build components

Wow, I'm already blown away about this project!

More reading/thoughts about this thingie: http://jalopnik.com/5598213/what-planet-did-this-tank-came-from

Is there a need for a "how this work" treatment for this model?
[paws2_zpsmxtaevov]

I'm sure this will be a piece of art.

Cheers IT, seen that article [smile]

I wish I had more than one reference photo, a How It Works would be awesome as would 3 view drawings,
never before in the history of modelling have I tried to do so much with so few (reference photos that is, like only one old really rough photo [smile] )

I do like the cut away with the red outline [smile]

This will be very interesting!

Reminds a little about Big Wind, apparently tank chassis in combination with jets can be used for a variety of task [biggrin]

Cheers Dan, all very cool indeed [smile]
and all using a Russian tank chassis, I think I saw T-34's and T-54's/T-55's being used for those

There I was,
tinkering away with my Mig21PF,
wrestling with myself over what colour scheme to go for,
do I really need to buy a Mig21R to do the scheme I really like ?
do I really need to buy another kit when I already have so many ? [biggrin] [biggrin] [biggrin]

and then the thought hit me,
what is the weirdest vehicle the Russians ever built ?
I reckon this thing has got to be a contender [biggrin]

Well Mike, I do like to out of the box as well as build out of the box,
although this build means building things that aint in the box ! [biggrin]

Another handy reference photo from someone else's build [smile]

My little upgrade :)

Not quite as good as the reference pic above but I do like the improvement over all with the added plumbing, wires and handles etc.
