Hi Everyone!

Been about a year since I made my last post in the forum, actually its been about a year since I made anything scale model related. But the last month I've got back to the bench and wow have I missed it. Anyhow I'm joining this group build with my favorite plane: the Albatros.

Let's start with the box and sprue shots:

Started by replicating wood inside the fuselage with oils over acrylics. Sanded out pin marks and masked to ensure a good fit later on.

That's all for now will work on the rest of the interior while the oils dry.

Thanks guys!

Feels great to be back in business again!

Tried different ways to replicate wood but always comes back to this one. Seems to give an ok wood look without being to much out of scale. However I will use decals for the outside on this one.

Yeah every time I come back to modelling I can't understand why I left in the first place. But time is always an issue, there's simply not enough for work, family and all other hobbies.

All parts for the framework and cockpit

Also made some work on the engine, replacing the kit valve springs with copper wire, and preparing wiring for the spark plugs.
