I'm very grateful for your support, Thanks!

Got the halves together, and on this picture all major parts dry fitted, thanks to the great fit of this kit I can paint everything separate, will make applying the wood decals a much easier task.

And just for fun, a size comparison of 1/32 and my finished side project in 1/144

Had some few places around the cockpit and on the underside that needs minor filling and sanding. All other parts are ready to get painted

That's all for this weekend

Thanks for looking!

CanĀ“t wait to see the rest of your build. The wood work, cockpit detail and the engine is world-class, you ARE a star at this.

Again many thanks!

Mid-week update:

Parts painted grey-green

20180321_211802.jpg
And some step by step about painting the underside of wings with light blue-grey

Base layer

20180321_191457.jpg
Masking ribs

20180321_195746.jpg
Adding lighter and darker shades, and unmasking

20180321_202649.jpg
I like this effect more subtle so final step is to blend it all together with more layers of different shades

20180321_211846.jpg
Finally I want to show what I got in the mail today, some figures to go with the kit. For someone that's used to injection molded figures in 1/48 the detail on these are amazing.

Thanks for looking!

Got some more paint on

Top side of wings got a similar treatment

Fuselage and tail

So it's time for a gloss coat and then on to decals and weathering

Wood decals from Uschi van der Rosten

Next up is brush painting of details and then some weathering to blend it all together a bit.

Thanks for the positive comments!

Spent a lot of time on this the latest week, and it starts to show.

Got machine guns, cooler and other bits and pieces ready

20180406_142110.jpg  20180406_142352.jpg  20180406_142430.jpg
Exhaust is painted and installed on the engine

20180406_142234.jpg
Undercarriage painted, assembled and weathered. Experimented with wet effects, not 100% sure about the result, but I think it will look good on the base I have in mind for it.

20180406_142539.jpg

And finally lower wing and tail are glued in place and I've added a pin wash.
