Time to start a new project, and after fiddling around with the 1/72 Gotha it's time to relax the eyes with something in 1/32.

This is a re-box of WnW discontinued DH.2 kit, only supplied with markings for Hawkers machine but there's a lovely resin cast of Hawker himself in the box.

Box art and content:

Decals look great, but I plan to mask and spray most of the markings so i will not use most of them.

The plane is an early production one delivered with unpainted clear doped linnen while wood and metal surfaces was painted in grey, however according to the instructions in the time Hawker got the plane it had been roughly over painted with PC10. If anyone have an idea how to replicate this in a convincing way please share it with me.

Cockpit parts all cleaned from mold lines, a few pinmarks filled and dry fitted ready for paint.

After the 1/72 Gotha, I think you deserve a big scale kit!  Nice work so far, good luck with the rest of the build.

Was having a look on WWI tanks during the last days... My first impressions where "ouch..these looks really awfull"... but after a while I couldn't keep my eyes off these models... the way they where assembled with those huge bolts and rivets and also their very improbable shape captivated my imagination... It's like Sci-Fi in the reverse mode...

Yeah, I find myself very intrigued with most wwi designs. Imagine how it was to serve on these machines, must been both amazing and terrifying.
