Hello,

I decided to try to build this marvellous kit for this group build.
Let's see if this help me managing to to it!

I am preparing some pictures to show the box content.

Long ago, together with the kit I bought the Windsock Worldwide modelling special on this kit and I plan to try to follow it during the build.

I am still not really sure of which version I will produce, but the with overall with green snake on the fuselage sides is up to now my preferred one...

I'm still deciding what exact version I would try to do.
The task seems very daunting, I would like to make a small, as simple as possible diorama for this beast. At the moment I am searching the internet for accessories and especially figures for period and scale. Any suggestion is welcome...

Would very much like to see this come together, hope you're still working on it.

As for figures and accessories check out http://www.copperstatemodels.com/ they have a full Gotha crew as well as ground crew.

http://www.aviattic.co.uk is another great company for WWI accessories.

Just finished this week-end my previous project (a Late Corsair trying to follow the step by step
videos of this site).
Now I will try to build this monster. Really not sure to finish it in time for the group-build but who cares? It was waiting to be built since some years now...

I spent some time looking at the other model of the Group Build and I am afraid my level will be a bit disappointing for a lot of you. Please forgive me and support me with suggestions more than critics!

Great news! Looking forward to follow your build! Don't worry about disappointing anyone. We are all here to have a good time, and to be inspired by each others work.

I have finally begun the build.
Hope to be able to posto some phots later.
Unfortunately I doubt to be able to finish in time but despite this I will try to share with you at least what I am doing.
I ordered a lot of additional photo etched parts by HGW and I am waiting for them to arrive...
