when there's no more room in hell Pete will get off his arse, tidy up the mancave, dig out some kits from the stash and get involved with the forum again.

My entry will of course involve zombies but at this point I honestly have no plan in place other than that. I'm going to make a cup of coffee and then get clearing down in the cave as its in a right state at the moment, then I'll have a look in the stash and dig out some kits and figures and hopefully an idea will evolve once I start building.

hopefuly It will all work out, if it doesn't then I'm going to go to the Winchester have a pint and wait for the whole thing to blow over

Pics of the kits later

I've dug out some kits, not sure if I'll be able to get them all built but 6 months is a decent amount of time so I think it's possible.

it will be a diorama but at this point I don't have a clear plan so I'll just get building and I'm sure I'll come up with something.

I haven't taken pics of the seperate sprues of each kit ( there are a lot of models here ) but I will take them and post them before I start each build and these are just to show that everything is unstarted

Ed: Purple Rain.
Shaun: No.
Ed: Sign o' the Times.
Shaun: Definitely not.
Ed: The Batman soundtrack?
Shaun: Throw it.
[Ed does so; it misses]
...
Ed: Dire Straits.
Shaun: Throw it.
[Ed throws it - clipping Mary in the side of the head]
Ed: Stone Roses?
Shaun: No.
Ed: Second Coming?
Shaun: I like it.
Ed: Ah! Sade.
Shaun: That's Liz's.
Ed: Yeah, but she did dump you. [Throws it]
Ed: Yeah, boyyyeee!

And some more bad guys ( will be on the lookout for more zombies as I really want to have a horde of them if I can )

1/35 zombie heads will hopefully allow me to convert regular figures to swell the undead horde

Sculpts aren't great but should be ok with a bit of creative painting

Not sure if I'm going to use this as its a bit in the large side. I have a Huey but it's 1\32 and I think the scale difference may be a problem, maybe I can have a rescue scenario with people getting winched up or maybe even the helo in a crash landing with the soldiers rescuing the pilots and Rick and the gang helping ?

Hand for scale ( it's a pretty big box )

Haha, love it,
"The plan is there's no plan"
well it is a zombie diorama and zombies don't make plans ... [wink]

you've got to get into the mindset of the zombie to appreciate the
nuances of a monolithic mindless urge to eat brains [biggrin] [biggrin] [biggrin]

My favorite zombie scene of all time was when a zombie stepped up onto
some boxes and the helicopter chopped the top half of its head clean orf !

Got any helis Pete ? [biggrin]

I've been thinking a last man on earth would be quite an easy dio to do,
only one figure ....... [wink] [biggrin]

If you haven't read them you should read the newsflesh trilogy by Mira grant.

The zombie apocalypse happened more than twenty years ago. Contrary to popular belief, we didn't all die out, largely because we'd had years of horror movies to tell us how to behave when the dead start walking. We fought back, and we won...sort of. The dead still walk; loved ones still try to eat you if you're not careful; the virus that caused the problem in the first place is still incurable. But at least we lived, right?

The Newsflesh Trilogy is a story about blogging, politics, medical science, espionage, betrayal, the ties that bind, the ties that don't, how George Romero accidentally saved the world, and, of course, zombies. It's thoughtful horror, and horrific science fiction, and I'm very fond of it.

Good to see you back in the saddle, Pete!

Don't you still have a 1/32 carrier deck sitting around? That might make for a good dio scene base. Like a scene from WWZ gone bad. [wink]
