Objective:
To product an Apocalyptic Zombie Hunter based on Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil Trilogy) in 1/35 as a gift for someone who has given me a lot of encouragement throughtout my time on the forum, in particular getting over a fear of using an Airbrush.
Problem....Milla Jovovich model, right. Closest I could get was in a set by Master Box, but the figure is riding a motorbike. Zvezda to the rescue, and appropriately Russian and with a side car, and at a very cheap price how could I refuse.
Construction:
The Zvezda kit is not bad at all and comes with two figures that can be shown in two poses, riding and firing or drinking and playing the Accordion (!)
Fit was good and painted it in Olive Drab and then weathered. I mainly used dust and rust and oil stains.
Side car was packed with supplies picked up in her journey. Graffiti was added to give her a tough nickname.
The figure was a big disappointment. To start with the head is too big for the body with very little detail (scratched ineyes with sharp pin),and the overall fit was was not so good, but I did like the pose.
Paints used were a mixture of Lifecolor, Citadel and Oils with Ink. Whole model painted by hand brushes.
When put together they look good.
So here is my final reveal with a very basic base.
Figure now packed up and ready for delivery, enjoy it my friend.

It really does look great Nigel !
Problems or not the figure came out beautifully and the paint and weathering are top class mate.
She fits the bike perfectly too and I love the "stowage" you have added to the side car along with the "beach" moniker lol !
I'm really grateful that you have gone to the effort of building this for me mate, and rest assured I will give it a prime spot on my Zombie diorama.
Your pics are really inspiring my imagination and giving me a good idea about the kind of look to give my diorama, I'm thinking that I need to put a zombie in front of her with the back of its head blown out and a good spray of gore up a wall behind it ! I really need to get the outstanding models finished up so I can get started on it.
Cheers again buddy, I truly appreciate the kind gesture you have done for me

Pete, you are more than welcome. Quite a few knew that this was for you.
I've added a few extras in the parcel, one for your daughter (let your conscious be your guide on that), and please, please, please do not eat the chips, they are for packing and not eating!
Ps, the model looks better in the flesh, and rider, motorbike and base are all seperate.

Great work Nigel. Every thing about it is brilliant. Such a pity the kit doesn't come with a bike as the box art puts her on one and she is clearly posed so that she needs one. Brilliant brilliant job.

Thanks Simon,
I think they left it out so you can choose the type of bike. For me the old Russian one worked for me, but someone else may have wanted a BMW. Plus the price of the kit would have gone way up.
